In the beginning of the story, Bunny is a 14-year-old student at Crossroads Junior High. She lives at home with her parents and little brother, Sammy. She tends to be a bit of crybaby. Her favorite activities are eating (especially sweets) and sleeping. Bunny runs late very often, and is a poor student. Her best friend is Molly, whom she goes to school with.

After she meets the talking cat, Luna, Bunny learns she is actually a champion of justice, Sailor Moon, fighting against the evil forces of the Dark Kingdom. She begins very wimpy, complaining about having to fight, and wishing it was all just a dream. However, she quickly learns and becomes more confident with each battle.

As Bunny continues to fulfill her destiny to find the Moon Princess and Silver Imperium Crystal, she finds the other four Sailor Scouts. Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina quickly become friends with Bunny as they fight together against their enemies.

It is after Sailor Venus appears that Bunny begins to question her identity. She is no longer the dim-witted teenager with nothing more interesting to do than hang out with Molly. But, not all of her is a Sailor Scout, either. She is still just Bunny to some, her family knows nothing of the other side of Bunny. So, it is like she must now play 2 roles.

Towards the end of their fight with the Dark Kingdom, Bunny and her friends find out that in their past lives, they lived in the Moon Kingdom during a time known as the Silver Millenium, where Bunny was heir to the throne, Princess Serenity. The guy Bunny always ran into, Darien, also lived his past life as Prince Endymion of the Earth Kingdom whom Princess Serenity fell in love with. Due to the fight with the Dark Kingdom in the past, all the scouts, the Prince and Princess and guardian cats were sent to the future to be reborn.
