  Rini was born Serena on June 30, on her mother's 22nd birthday. Her mother, called Bunny, married her true love Darien and ascended to the throne, becoming Neo-Queen Serenity, ruling over earth during it's time of peace from Crystal Tokyo. The daughter of the princess of the moon and the prince of the earth, Rini is a child of unknown powers. The power of Neo-Queen Serenity's Silver Imperium Crystal gives the people of earth long lives, thousands of years of perpetual youth. However, in the body of Rini, her own powers are not awakened and she lives as a small child for over 900 years. It is during this time that Princess Small Lady Serenity (Rini) meets the mysterious Sailor Pluto who guards the gates of time. When the evil Black Moon family attacks Crystal Tokyo and goes back into time to destroy the earth during the 20th century, Rini uses these gates to journey into the past herself. There she meets her future mother, Bunny. Although they rub each other the wrong way at first, they become important to each other, and maintain a relationship more like sisters than a parent and a child. During the final battle with the Black Moon and the planet Nemesis, Rini's powers are awakened, and she transforms into Sailor Chibi Moon. She fights alongside Sailor Moon to defeat their foes. She does not return to Crystal Tokyo at this time, but rather stays to train as a Sailor Scout with Bunny and the rest. Since her powers have come to her, she also begins to age normally at this time, and eventually grows into a teenager by the time the series ends.
