Promise
At the beginning of the Stars story, Darien has decided to go study abroad for a year at Harvard University, in America. The afternoon he leaves, Bunny accompanies him to the airport to see him off. Just before he has to get on the airplane, Darien turns to her and hands her a small jewelry box. Bunny opens it to find a ring inside, made with a delicate pattern with a heart-shaped stone in the center.
Darien takes the ring out of the box, and slips it onto the ring finger of her left hand. Then he begins, "Bunny... When I return..." but is never able to finish, as Galaxia comes upon him to steal his Golden Crystal.
Proposal
Although his first attempt at proposing to Bunny was delayed, Darien was obviously able to pop the question in time. After Guardian Cosmos returns everyone in the Cauldron to present-day Tokyo, Darien and Bunny return to their normal lives. One morning in the not-to-distant future, Darien wakes Bunny up with a kiss and they talk in bed for awhile. Bunny asks him, "Can you say it again? Just once more." To this, Darien says- once more- that they should get married.
Wedding Day
The day is lovely for Mr. and Mrs. Darien Shield's wedding. As they seal their vows with a kiss, Bunny and Darien stand in front of the beautiful stained glass of the church where they have just been married. Then, the newlywed couple takes a moment to themselves directly after the ceremony, and Bunny tells her husband that she feels the presence of a new star, a new life, inside her. And, they vow that as long as they are both needed they will protect the Earth, their dear friends, and each other. Bunny runs out to all her friends, dressed in their bridal garb as well, to greet them. Then, as she throws her bouquet, Darien marvels at her, "Sailor Moon, you will always be invincible. The most beautiful shining star." And he sees her other side reflected in herself... Sailor Moon.
